グローバルビレッジとは？
ABOUT GLOBAL VILLAGE
みなさん、こんにちは！2016年4月に岩手大学は学生センターB棟1階に多言語多文化交流空間 「グローバルビレッジ」を開設しました。
グローバルビレッジでは、国籍の異なる様々な学生や地域の方が集い、国際交流、日本文化紹介、ワークショップ等のイベントを通して、国際理解?異文化体験をする空間です。グローバルビレッジから世界を広げてみませんか。毎週様々なイベントを実施しています。イベントに参加すればするほどマイルが貯まり、記念品や認定書ももらえます！岩手大学のグローバルマイレージシステムの内容はこちらです。グローバルビレッジは担当教員と学生スタッフがいますので、英語が苦手な人や初めて参加する人にも、安心して参加していただけます。どうぞお気軽にご参加ください！
Welcome to Iwate University's Global Village, your home for intercultural exchange! Located in Student Center-B, the Global Village hosts weekly events featuring culture, languages, and topics from around the world. The more you participate in events, the more "miles" you can get! With enough miles, you can get certificates or even monetary rewards! Learn more about our mileage system here us as we explore what it means to be a local citizen with a global perspective.

個別英語学習支援 English Time
個別英語学習支援English Timeを無料で行なっています。
英会話の練習、英語プレゼンテーション練習の支援、英作文のチェック*など英語担当の先生が個別指導します。また、英語学習に関することも相談できます。英語学習の仕方が分からない人?伸び悩んでいる人?英語が苦手な人?英語話者と話すことに緊張してしまう人等、大歓迎です！
*English Timeでは、
English Time is a free and individualized one-on-one English learning opportunity! You can get advice or help with conversation, presentations and writing*. The English teachers are also available for English conversation practice. You can just sign up and chat with the teacher! English Time is great for students of all levels!
*English Time primarily focuses on providing advice on grammar and word choice.If you wish to consult about course assignments or your graduation thesis, please be sure to obtain permission from the course instructor or your thesis supervisor before attending English Time.
Reservations are required for English Time and can be made here.
Foundation of English
さらに英語を勉強したい人向けの登録制英語学習支援Foundation of Englishも行っています。
岩手大学には、上級の英語力が求められる留学準備のためのSuper EnglishやStep-up Englishというプログラムがあります。これらのプログラムを受講するためには一定の英語力があることが条件となり、また前期?後期の決まった時期に登録する必要があります。
申し込みの時期を逃した、あるいは英語基礎力が不足しているので自分のレベルにあった英語学習をしたい、またはSuper EnglishやStep-up Englishは自分のスケジュールと合わないので受講できないといった人たちのために、個々人のスケジュールに合わせることのできるFoundation of English を提供しています。単なる英会話の練習や大学の授業の補習ではなく、しっかりと英語力を積み上げて力をつけたい人のための個別指導プログラムです。
Foundation of Englishは登録制です。国際教育センターのJacob先生に申し出てください。
その後以下のような流れになります。
Foundation of Englishに登録したら、毎週1回はFoundation of Englishを担当する先生に会って指導を受けてください。どの先生が担当してもあなた専用に構築された学習プログラムに沿って指導が受けられます。大切なことは、定期的に指導を受けながら継続的に学習を続けることです。

For those looking to take their English to the next level, we offer "Foundation of English". This is a free registration-only program designed to prepare you for the advanced English courses expected for certain studying abroad programs. Foundation of English offers weekly individualized English guidance that you can easily fit into your schedule. For those interested, please contact Jacob Petersen of the International Education Center (jacobp@iwate-u.ac.jp) on the second floor of Student Center-B.
